Reports by Apple follow, they seem to b e hiring a bunch of bioengineers who are suppose to start working on developing a device that helps people monitor their blood sugar levels.

“It’s mentally anguishing to stick yourself many times a day to check your blood sugar,” said Cook to CNBC. “There is lots of hope out there that if someone has constant knowledge of what they’re eating, they can instantly know what causes the response… and that they can adjust well before they become diabetic.”

This is a highly important issue, considering that more than 29 million in USA suffer from diabetes. Sticking the needle is the only available option to check sugar.

Tim Cook has spoken out about the possibility to combine, thus monitor both blood sugar levels and other important vital signs. Biomedical engineer John SmithThe claims that the ordeal must be one of Apple’s hardest hurdles so far. Hopefully, they can succeed in what they set out to achieve, the sooner, the better.
